My dream comes true (warning: football ahead).
This year marks my last semester at the University of Southern California. I did four years of undergrad here in Computer Science and I’m about to wrap up a MS in CS in May. I could say a lot about these 5 years, but right now I just want to revel in the fact after 4 years of football championship games, I finally got to go to one!
It’s been bittersweet more than a few times. The Rosebowl is played in Pasadena which is less than a 30 minute drive from me, but the ticket prices usually put it out of my range - especially since I never won the student ticket lottery. And then there was the one year I was in Beijing and I had to watch it super time delayed at a random bar.
This year however, my girlfriend’s friend’s friend worked for the Rosebowl and had two extra tickets to give away… to US! It was awesome to finally get to see our championship game in person and even better that we stomped Illinois into the ground (I’m from Indiana originally).
The only part I felt bad about was the lonely, older Illini couple sitting directly behind us in a sea of red in the USC student section… see if you can spot them in the album by clicking through the picture below.
